Luxury carmaker Audi is preparing to expand its performance SUV lineup in India with the launch of the Audi SQ8. The new luxury SUV is scheduled to be officially launched in the Indian market on March 17, 2026. With powerful performance credentials and premium features, the SQ8 is expected to strengthen Audi’s presence in the high-end SUV segment.
What Makes the Audi SQ8 Special?
The Audi SQ8 will be positioned as a performance-focused luxury SUV. It is expected to come equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a large infotainment system, and a premium 23-speaker audio setup. Features such as Audi Connect Care, remote engine start, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, remote park assist, 360-degree camera, cruise control, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and night vision assist are also likely to be offered.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the Audi SQ8 is expected to feature a 4.0-litre engine capable of producing around 500 horsepower. The SUV will likely be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Performance is one of its key highlights, as it can reportedly accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just about four seconds, placing it firmly in the performance SUV category.

Audi is expected to reveal the official pricing at the time of launch. However, industry estimates suggest that the Audi SQ8 could be introduced in India at an ex-showroom price ranging between ₹1 crore and ₹1.5 crore.
