Rajasthan Police have detained a man from Kota for allegedly uploading a viral video in which he issued death threats against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and 25 Congress MPs. The video, which circulated widely on social media, triggered immediate security concerns and prompted swift police action.
According to police, the accused identified himself as “Raj Singh” in the video and claimed to be associated with Karni Sena. In the clip, he allegedly made threatening remarks over a recent incident linked to the Lok Sabha and warned of violent consequences if similar events were repeated.
The video reportedly contained direct threats, including statements about entering the homes of MPs and shooting them. It also mentioned a 24-hour ultimatum related to the arrest of 25 Congress MPs, further escalating the seriousness of the case.
After the video surfaced online, Kota Police traced the suspect’s location and took him into custody from the Borekheda area. Superintendent of Police Tejaswini Gautam confirmed that the accused is being questioned and his electronic devices are being examined as part of the investigation.
Meanwhile, both the BJP and Karni Sena have distanced themselves from the individual seen in the video, stating that he has no official connection with their organizations. Police have launched a detailed probe to verify the authenticity, motive, and possible links behind the threatening video.
